The association established
in the Alexandria Training &
Research Institute in 1972.
- The institute is considered the first institute
in the Middle
East and North African region offering specialized
training in the field of population,family
planning and
reproductive health.
- The institute has been the link of co-operation
between the
association and the national and international
organizations. It has planned and executed

developmental and training projects in the
fields of
population and development.
- Since its inauguration till the end 2003,
the institute has
trained 29750
trainees covering Egypt, the Arab world and
Africa in the fields of population, development
and family
planning with women represent 48.1%
of the trainees
(14319 participants).
- 372 of the
total 1072 activities
has been implemented with
international organizations, forming a percentage
of 34.6% .
